Introduction to Distance Education

Back

Who can enroll?
Anyone eligible to enroll in a course at Tyler Junior College may enroll in a distance learning class. Veterans are eligible to earn benefits for distance classes but should talk to a VA advisor.

How do you start?
As long as you are already a student at TJC (you’ve been admitted) and you have met with your advisor (in person, by phone, or by email) then you can enroll.  You should be sure to complete our Online Student Orientation to learn about distance learning at TJC and to make sure you are a good fit for a distance course.  All distance courses will have either a face-to-face orientation or an online orientation that you must complete.  Make sure you check the class schedule or click here for the current semester’s schedule.
