How to Access Your Online Course
Here are some instructions on how to log on to your online course. Getting Started
Learn more about Distance Education at TJC and get started with admissions and registration.
Are You Ready for a Distance Education Course?
Try out READI, our online readiness assessment and check it out for yourself. This assessment will tell you about your learning style and whether it is suited to distance courses. It will also check to see whether your technical skills are up to speed. Don't worry if you lack some technical skills, we have some tutorials to help you get your skills where they need to be.

Take Our TJC Online Student Orientation
Work through the orientation that we require all of our distance education students before they take their first online or hybrid class. It will familiarize you with our requirements, offer some tutorials to get your technical skills up to date, and provide information on resources for online students. In short, it will prepare you for your first online class.
Important: The orientation does not replace the course-specific orientation in your online course.
Apache Online Tutorials
Work through online tutorials on how to use Apache Online, our learning management system. Taking Online Courses at Other Colleges
The Virtual College of Texas gives you the opportunity to take courses that you can't get at TJC at another college. We'll enroll you in the course, and your grade will come back to your transcript here at TJC.
