Faculty Development

Identifying and providing faculty development seminars, topic specific classes or training opportunities that aid faculty members with continuous improvement activities is an ongoing process at TJC. 

These opportunities may be generated by the following:

• President
• Provost
• Deans
• Department Chairs, Directors, or Coordinators
• Distance Education Department
• Faculty Development Committee of the Faculty Senate
  • Faculty Learning Communities
• Faculty Members
• Human Resources
• Institutional Effectiveness, Planning and Research
• IT Department
• Professional Development Office

Development Seminars are scheduled:

• Semiannually at the beginning of each long semester
• One special development seminar is offered each semester by the Faculty Senate.
• Topic specific classes or training as needed
