Who Can Enroll?

Tyler Junior College makes it easy to take the next steps towards your future with an open-door policy that encourages all students to explore all the options available. You are not required to take the SAT or ACT to attend TJC.  You are eligible for admission if you:

• Are a high school graduate or GED recipient
  
  
• Are a transfer student from an accredited college or university
  
  
• Are a student currently attending another higher education institution
  
  
• Are a current high school student who has met State of Texas testing requirements and has received permission from your school and parents/legal guardians to take college college coursework
  
  
• Are not a US citizen (International Student)
  
  
• Want to take a class for professional development or personal enrichment
  
  
• Are 21 or older, and returning or starting college for the first time
  
  
• Have a physical or learning disability

Some programs in the School Allied Health and Nursing are subject to a selected admissions process and may have additional admissions requirements. Contact the Academic Advisors in the School of Allied Health and Nursing for more information.
