Greeting to the Student: Hello, I want to give you the best educational experience possible. My goal for you is that you become a critical thinker who demonstrates problem-solving skills that result in safe & effective patient care. After all, we are the gatekeepers for the patients. You may not want to be a mental health nurse but, you have to take this class to get where you want. We want you to succeed! Teaching Philosophy: Teaching is not just talking. Everyone has something to teach and everyone has something to learn. Love who you teach and what you teach. Your love for your profession is contagious. Statement of usual method of evaluation of students (number of tests, essay paper, book reviews, etc): RNSG 2213: 4 Tests RNSG 2161: A-Notes, Process Recordings, Teaching Project & Community Observation RNSG 2121: 3 Tests RNSG 2163: Resume, Professional Meeting Report, Group Project and Clinical Evaluation I would like to incorporate more active learning ideas into my class.
