Greeting to the Student: I am pleased to welcome you to my class. If you need any help relating to the coursework, feel free to ask for it. So many teachers contributed in intangible ways to who I am today; I try to give back to my own students in similar ways. I hope that you will find your TJC classes both enlightening and enjoyable.
Teaching Philosophy: I just treat my students the way I want/hope my own son to be treated by his teachers.
Method of Evaluation of Students: My class has 4 regular tests worth 100 points each. However, only 3 of these tests will count toward the final grade and the lowest grade will be dropped. The mandatory final exam is worth 200 points. Students with perfect class attendance will receive a bonus of 10 points. The cumulative total of the above (3 test grades, final exam, and bonus points) will be divided by 5 to determine the final grade as follows: 90 and above =A; 80-89=B; 70-79=C; 60-69=D; and 0-59=F. The average will be rounded to the nearest whole number (92.5 will be rounded to 93, and 92.4 will be rounded to 92).
